Methodology gaining momentum

The direction that the research will take appears to be talking shape. Based on my last meeting with Nigan Hanim, it looks like there will be two phases in the research:

• Analysis of "fantasy" sketches.
• Something like action or attittude research to follow up/support the above.

The fantasy sketch portion has two aspects associated with it:

• evaluaiton of sketch process
• evaluation of sketch results

There is a wide range of literature to help prepare a methodology for the evaluation sketch processes. However, it looks like we may be developing a brand new methodology for evaluation of sketch results. One idea that comes to mind is to apply a Grounded Theory approach to evaluation of non-text data.

The immediate tasks at hand are:

• Review/annotate the pile of papers Nigan Hanim gave me to develop an appropriate methodology for sketch process evaluation.
• Develop a methodology to evaluate sketch results.
  
• Develop a qualitaive action/attitude research methodology for part two.

Once the above are done, a design brief for the fantasy sketch and questions for the action/attitude research portion can be developed, and samples can be specified and chosen.
